Teams
During the summer the Club runs 3 men's and 2 ladies' teams in the
Avon County LTA Leagues as well as 1 team of juniors in each category (U12,
U14, U16 and U18).
During the winter, there are 2 mixed teams and 1 veteran's team in the Avon County LTA League.
Successes
In the past few years Clifton Lawn Tennis Club has won:
- Division I of the U16 Avon County LTA Winter League
- Division I, Avon County LTA Mens Winter League
- Division II, Avon County LTA Veterans Winter League
- Division IIB, Avon County LTA Ladies Summer League
- Mixed Doubles, Avon County LTA Inter-Club Competition
- last summer, teams were in Divisions IIA and 3B (Men) and 2A and 2B (Ladies).
During the summer various social events are organised, depending on feedback from the previous year and members' interests. This year we have seen a croquet and champagne gathering, barbecues, a quiz evening, a curry evening and a Christmas mulled wine get together. Also, throughout the winter about 30 members regularly meet to play bridge in the clubhouse on Thursday evenings.
